These terms and conditions constitute the agreement between you and Elstree Taxis. By booking a taxi and using our service, you unconditionally accept the terms and conditions as presented in this agreement.
In this agreement, "Elstree Taxis," "we," or "us" refer to the service provider, while "you" and "your" can denote any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.
2.1 You must allocate sufficient time for your journey to ensure punctuality. This applies particularly to airport transfers, where timely check-in is crucial. Elstree Taxis cannot be held responsible for delays resulting from your failure to allow adequate travel time or being unprepared for your scheduled pick-up.
2.2 Select a car of an appropriate size for your group and luggage. Elstree Taxis does not guarantee the carriage of excessive luggage. Please note that, regardless of age, a child is considered a single passenger. Any requirement for wheelchair access should be specified during the booking.
3.1 Our quotations are based on the information you provide. Prices are, unless otherwise stated, exclusive of VAT, which will be added where applicable. We reserve the right to modify the provided quote if there are significant changes to the itinerary.
3.2 Our quote includes a 45-minute waiting period after the specified landing time and covers airport parking costs. Any waiting time beyond this will be subject to standard waiting charges. While we make efforts to adjust our service for flight delays, we are not obligated to do so. After accepting a quote, carefully review the booking confirmation to avoid any issues.
3.3 Payments can be made by cash, credit card, or debit card.
4. The Service
4.1 You are responsible for the behavior of all passengers during the journey. Any damage, soiling, or negative impact on the vehicle by a passenger may result in cleaning fees.
4.2 Eating, drinking, and smoking are not permitted in the vehicle. Ensure that all children in the car are appropriately restrained based on their height, weight, and age.
4.3 We are not permitted to carry more passengers than specified by licensing or insurance regulations.
5. Cancellations
5.1 If you need to cancel your booking with Elstree Taxis, please do so promptly. Cancellation after dispatch may incur charges based on the driver's time and distance to the point of cancellation.
5.2 For online bookings canceled before dispatch, a charge may be applied to the original payment.
6. Liability
6.1 While we make every effort to ensure punctual arrival at your destination, we are not liable for losses incurred due to circumstances beyond our control. Under no circumstances will Elstree Taxis be liable for losses incurred by you or your business.
6.2 Your luggage is carried at your own risk.
6.3 In the event of a vehicle breakdown during your journey with Elstree Taxis, we will strive to provide an alternative vehicle to expedite your journey.
6.4 You will not hold Elstree Taxis responsible for expenses, damages, costs, or losses resulting from any omission or act of anyone in your party.
6.5 No party can exclude or limit their liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful default, or other matters classified as unenforceable by applicable laws.
7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking immediately if a vehicle or driver is placed at risk due to abuse, violence, or damage by you or any other passenger. No refunds will be provided for terminated journeys.
8.1 Elstree Taxis may subcontract its obligations as stated in this agreement. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer any of your obligations or rights under this agreement.
8.2 Elstree Taxis may modify the terms and conditions at any time by updating this page. Please review these terms and conditions regularly to stay informed of any changes. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.
8.3 We handle information in compliance with the Data Protection Act of 1988.
8.4 This agreement represents the full understanding between Elstree Taxis and you.
8.5 No third party has rights to enforce any provisions of this agreement unless a separate written agreement is in place.
Any dispute or claim must be made within 30 days from the booking pickup date. Claims or disputes made after this timeframe may not be entertained by Elstree Taxis.
